Franken Frames

Franken Frames are frame makers based in North Carolina making hand-made frames and selling related products like cut mats and glass.

Infinite Repeats

Infinite Repeats is a print shop based in Charlottesville, VA offering silkscreen, etching, and risograph printing, monthly memberships , workshops and classes.

Morehouse Studio

Morehouse Studio is a pottery studio offering classes and memberships where you can hand build, use their wheels, glaze, and fire.

The Art Box

The Art Box is a local small business art supply and frame shop. They give discounts for students taking local classes. If you are a teacher, let them know you what your supply list is and they’ll help your students gather the right stuff.

The Scrappy Elephant

Scrappy Elephant is a donation based art and craft supply store. Community members donate supplies and then other community members buy at affordable prices to create beautiful things. They also have classes and services.

T&N Printing

T&N Printing is my local print shop that makes business cards, invitations, posters, documents, you name it. And they are fast! Skip Staples or online and go to T&N.

Trail & North

My brother-in-law, Vincent, is the best handyman and maker of beautiful spaces in town! He has helped me make my home and studio efficient, comfortable, and beautiful.

Art Galleries & Studios

Les Yeux du Monde

We are so lucky to have a gallery of this caliber in out small town of Charlottesville. LYDM shows some of the most amazing modern and contemporary art in the region.

McGuffey Art Center

McGuffey Art Center is an artist-run cooperative art center that includes 50 resident artist members, 100 associate artist members, and 6 incubator artists. You can teach or take classes and workshops and participate in monthly exhibitions.

Phaeton Gallery & Carriage Works Studios

Phaeton Gallery hosts a handful of highly curated shows per year. The support for artists is unprecedented. They have shown my work twice and I’ve felt like a rockstar both times. They also have studio space and are pivotal in enhancing the art community in C’ville.

Second Street Gallery

Second Street Gallery is a non-profit that promotes local and national artists. They offer educational opportunities for the public through exhibitions, lectures, workshops, classes, tours, and publications.

Fifth Season Gardening

Fifth Season is Cville’s local organic gardening resource that promotes joyful living, healthy ecosystems and more connected communities by sharing their passion for better making and growing.

Two Owls Outdoor Tours

Two Owls is a woman-owned guide company supporting a variety of outdoor activities for the Maryland, Virginia and Washington DC community. One of my best friends runs it and we are tackling this new business, branding, marketing thing together.

Artwork Archive

I use artwork archive to keep track of my painting locations and sales. It interfaces with SquareSpace which is where I design and manage my website so I don’t have to have two locations for my images! I can run reports, create invoices, and output PDFs or web pages for galleries and clients.

Canva

I’m still learning all the amazing things you can do with Canva, but so far I’ve created this logo and branding and I’m figuring out how to use it for social media post development.

MileIQ

MileIQ is an app on my phone, which goes with me everywhere, that tracks my miles. I tell it which are personal miles and which are business miles and it makes it really easy to log miles for tax deduction purposes.

Squarespace

I design and manage my websites with Squarespace. They have email campaign features that allow me to collect email addresses and send out newsletters to build my following. Squarespace also has a sales interface that allows me to sell products and take credit cards from my website.
